Join us for a guided tour of Australia’s oldest operating tram depot, where you have the unique opportunity to peek behind the scenes and witness the enchantment of heritage tram restoration.

Bendigo Tramways has been entwined with the city’s identity since 1890, it is here that you will witness lost trades still in use and come to appreciate the artistry of the skilled craftsmen who have meticulously built and restored each tram by hand.

Discover the narrative behind our restoration ventures, from overhauling Melbourne’s iconic fleet of City Circle trams, and Puffing Billy’s heritage carriages, to repurposing trams into classrooms, cafes, and accommodation.

Explore Bendigo by Vintage Talking Tram, then peak behind the scenes of Australia’s oldest operating tram depot on a Depot Discovery Tour. You will be guided through the workshop, witness lost trades still in use and come to appreciate the artistry of the skilled craftsmen who have meticulously built and restored each tram by hand.
