Movember

Bendigo Tramways crew grow mustaches for Movember

Trams don moustaches for Movember

Our heritage trams are taking the Movember challenge and will be decked out with some magnificent mo's to raise awareness about men's health issues.

Across the world, men are dying an average of six years younger than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable. Diseases such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's mental health issues are often taboo subjects for men, but with nine men a day currently dying from prostate cancer in Australia, it is essential that everyone starts talking about how we can prevent these deaths by taking action early.

With a predominately male workforce, men's health is important to us at Bendigo Tramways. We have a great group of guys working here across a wide range of ages that we want to stay healthy and happy, so that we can continue to enjoy their company at work each day.

We want the Bendigo community to join us in our mission to get everyone talking about men's health. Come and take your photo with one of our Mo-trams and post it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #Movember @bendigotramways.

Several of our staff members are participating in, and raising funds for, Movember. You can support their efforts by making a donation at https://moteam.co/bendigo-tramways

Check out the Movember website for more information about this great cause.
