The Bendigo Tramways is currently looking to downsize its fleet of W2 class trams.

This ex Melbourne W2 class tram was purchased complete and operational by the Bendigo Tramways in the 1980s.  Since that time, 456 has been stored except for one period in 2000 when in returned to Melbourne for use in the Melbourne Moomba Tram Parade.

With its large carrying capacity, and reliable equipment, this tram is well suited to both heavy traffic on historic tram routes, or for museums looking for a simple-to-maintain 'workhorse' tram.

This tram is offered with MMTB No 1 trucks, fitted with 26" wheels and British Thompson Houston 264D/P 40 horse power motors.

The price is $50,000 Australian Dollars plus GST, and ex our Depot in Bendigo.
