Becoming a Friend of the Bendigo Tramways… ...
Membership options available:-
Single - $20.00 (including GST) per year.
Family - $50.00 (including GST) per year - 2 adults and up to 4 school age children.
Becoming a Friend of the Bendigo Tramways entitles you to free rides on any regular Talking Tram tours, discounts at the Tram Depot Souvenir Shop, and you will also receive a copy of our new quarterly newsletter.
All funds raised through the Friends of the Bendigo Tramways are put back into the Trams, helping to ensure that more of Bendigo’s famous fleet of Trams are restored and made available for service or display.
It is a great way for people, whether active participants, or friends from afar, to show their support of Bendigo Tramways, and to receive regular updates of progress on Tram restorations and other projects at the Bendigo Tramways.

About the Friends of the Bendigo Tramways.
Becoming a Friend of the Bendigo Tramways is an ideal way to show your support of Bendigo’s famous Trams.
The support of individuals, whether in the form of financial or physical contributions, assists us to maintain, preserve, display and operate the Trams.
In 2002, the Volunteers and Staff at Bendigo Tramways established what has become known as the ’Paint Fund’, to raise funds to refurbish Trams that were in storage to return them to active service or make them suitable for display.
Since that time, three Trams, Nos. 28, 19, and 36 have received overhauls—Tram 28 being refurbished for display, and Trams 19 and 36 being refurbished for service.
The next Tram in line for attention is Prahran & Malvern Tramways Trust No. 44, which was formerly Tram 17 in the SEC Bendigo fleet.
Previously restored by Bendigo Tramways in the early 1980’s, it is in need of overhaul, including the replacement of the drive wheels, repairs to the chassis, and a full repaint and refinish.
By becoming a Friend of the Bendigo Tramways, you will be able to follow the progress of the refurbishment of the Trams through a quarterly newsletter, as well as finding out about other projects or events at Bendigo Tramways.
Friends of the Bendigo Tramways can also participate in work activities including the restoration and maintenance of the Trams and Tramway, and also with operating the Trams - Subject to meeting the necessary medical, aptitude, and training requirements.
No matter what your skill is, we have a job for you! From painting and varnishing to mechanical work, to archiving and administrative work, to coach-building and metal work, to customer service and promotions, we have tasks for you, no matter how much or how little time you have to offer.
Donations to the Bendigo Tramways ‘Paint Fund’ will also assist in ensuring that funding is available for restoration and refurbishment works to continue, and for more Trams to be restored to operating condition.
